DIEDRICH ALL-TERRAIN CARRIER SPECIFICATIONS
DESCRIPTION
The Diedrich all-terrain carrier(ATC) is a four-wheel drive carrier with large floatation tires designed to carry the Diedrich D-90 or D-120 drill rig. The ATC uses the latest in hydrostatic drive technology resulting in a four-wheel drive carrier with better maneuverability and higher ground clearance. The carrier is designed to traverse mud, snow, sand, steep clopes, uneven ground, and wooded areas.
CARRIER
The drill rig engine drives two heavy-duty hydrostatic pumps which power the four individual wheel motors. The ATC can switch from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, forawrd to reverse and high-speed to low-speed on the go. The ATC is capable of reaching speeds up to 25 kph in high-speed two-wheel drive.
Improved traction is provided by the use of a unique hydraulic control system. If one of the front or rear tires starts to spin, this system senses the pressure drop and automatically directs flow and pressure to the wheel that is not spinning. This provides a positraction like drive, the ultimate in good traction.
All four tires are 50" diameter x 25" wide x 6-ply(Goodyear 48.0 x 25.0 x 20.0 6-ply terra tire STG). 10-ply Super Terra GripXT tires are also available.
Steering is 100% hydraulic.
The brakes are hydraulically actuated drum brakes. A multi disc, spring applied, hydraulically released parking brake is provided on the rear wheels.
Ground clearance is 22 inches throughout the carrier.
The underside of the carrier is protected with removeable skid plates where needed.
Two high-power sealed beam head lights are provided.
The heavy-duty vinyl driver's seat is fully adjustable for operator comfort and also includes a safety lap belt.
The maximum front axle turning angle is 35 degrees with 8 degrees of oscillation.
The hydraulic system for the drill rig operation is completely disabled for safety while the carrier drive is in operation. When the drill rig is being used for drilling, the hydrostatic drive is completely disabled.
Rollover protection is provided for operator safety.
CARRIER BODY
The carrier body is constructed from structural steel members and 1/8" safety tread deck plate.
An under deck auger rack is furnished on the driver's side of the unit.
A tool box is supplied on the right side of the carrier below the deck.
An auger rack is furnished above the deck on the driver's side.
An auger storage area is furnished at the front of the carrier.
An above deck drill rod storage rack for 10 ft. drill rods is furnished on the right side.
Fenders are provided over and on the inside of the front and rear tires.
HYDRAULIC LEVELING JACKS - 36" STROKE
Two jacks are furnished for the rear and one for the front of the carrier.
Jacks are individually controlled from the control panel.
FRONT CARRIER WINCH
A 15,000 lb. front winch is furnished including wire rope and roller guides.
